01 What you're playing
This is not a mock-up or a video. The shoe, the totals, the dealer's decisions and the payouts are the same code that runs inside the Just Blackjack app, ported across so you can try the game before you install anything.
| Rule | This table |
|---|---|
| Decks in the shoe | Six, reshuffled at the cut card |
| Dealer on 17 | Stands on all 17, including soft 17 |
| Blackjack pays | 3 : 2 |
| Your moves | Hit or stand |
| Starting stack | 500 chips, free rebuy if you bust out |
| Real money | None, anywhere, ever |
Doubling, splitting, insurance and surrender are deliberately left out of the browser table — they need more screen and more explaining than a demo should ask for. All four are in the full app, and all four are covered in the rules guide.
02 The book chip tells you the truth
The small marker on the felt is the strategy coach. It reads your total against the dealer's up-card and names the correct move — the same basic strategy a casino's own charts are built on, and the same one the app teaches.
It will tell you to hit a 16 against a ten. It will tell you to stand on a 12 against a 4. Both feel wrong and both are right; the coach is not there to make you comfortable. Play a dozen hands watching it and you will start predicting it, which is the point.
03 This is not real gambling
There is no money in this game. The chips are a score. They cannot be bought, cashed out, traded or exchanged for anything at all. You cannot deposit and you cannot withdraw, because there is nothing to deposit into.
The format has a name — simulated gambling, also called social casino play, also called, less kindly, fake gambling. It is blackjack with the stakes removed: the same decisions, the same maths, the same sting when a 20 runs into a 21, and none of the consequences.
Worth saying plainly: getting good here does not mean you would be good at a real table for real money. Practice or success at a simulated casino game does not imply future success at real-money gambling.
04 What the full app adds
Everything a browser demo can't reasonably carry:
- The full move set — double, split up to four hands, insurance and late surrender.
- A provably-fair shoe — every shuffle committed before the first card and exportable afterwards so you can verify it yourself.
- Three world leaderboards — total chips, prestige and best week, with the top three immortalised in a weekly Hall of Fame.
- 95 achievements and 90 daily challenges, plus a full Blackjack 101 built into the game.
- 24 prestige rungs running from 10,000 chips to 20 million.
- Offline play — the whole game runs on the device.
Take the table with you
Free on iPhone and Android. 2,500 chips are already on the felt, there's no buy-in, and there's still no real money anywhere in it.
