01 What Just Blackjack is

Just Blackjack is a single-player casino-style card game played against a computer dealer, offered for entertainment only. It contains no multiplayer, no chat, and no way to interact with another player beyond appearing on a public leaderboard.

02 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age set by the app's rating in your country if that is higher, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live. If you are a minor, you may use the app only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.

You are responsible for the security of your device and, if you create one, your account credentials.

03 Accounts are optional

The full game is playable as a guest with no account. Guest progress is stored only on your device: if you delete the app, change devices, or clear its data, that progress is gone permanently and we cannot restore it.

Creating an account with Google or an email address enables cloud backup of your progress and entry onto the leaderboards. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account.

04 Usernames

Usernames are unique and claimed first-come, first-served. Claiming one reserves it against your account until you release it or delete your account.

A username is publicly visible alongside your chip total, prestige and weekly result. Choose accordingly. You agree not to claim a name that is unlawful, hateful, obscene, impersonates another person or brand, or is chosen to harass someone. We may reclaim or reset any username that breaks this rule, without notice.

05 Chips, rewards and purchases

Chips are earned by playing, by claiming daily rewards and challenges, by watching optional rewarded video, or by buying optional chip packs. However you get them, the rule in section 01 applies: they are worth nothing outside the game.

• Purchases are optional. Everything in the game is reachable without spending money.
• Payment is handled by Apple or Google, not by us. Their terms govern the transaction.
• Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under Apple's or Google's refund policies and any non-waivable rights you have under local consumer law. We cannot process a refund on their behalf.
• Rewarded ads are opt-in. Ad availability is outside our control, and a video failing to load or complete does not entitle you to the reward.
• We may change, suspend or discontinue chip packs, prices, reward amounts and the in-game economy at any time. Balancing a game requires it.

If we discontinue the app, unspent chips expire with it and are not refundable, except where local law says otherwise.

06 Fair play and the shoe

Every shoe is seeded and committed before the first card is dealt, and a retired shoe can be exported and verified. Outcomes are produced by that shuffle and the published rules — the game does not adjust the cards for or against you.

You agree not to manipulate the game or the leaderboards. That includes modifying the app, tampering with local save data, intercepting or forging network traffic, automating play, exploiting bugs in the economy, or creating accounts to distort rankings. We may reset a balance, remove a leaderboard entry, or suspend or delete an account we reasonably believe has done any of it.

07 Leaderboards and the Hall of Fame

Leaderboards and the weekly Hall of Fame display your username, chip total, prestige and weekly result publicly. Taking part is a consequence of signing in; if you would rather not appear, play as a guest or delete your account.

Rankings are provided as-is. They may be recalculated, corrected or reset, and we make no guarantee of their continuous availability or accuracy.

08 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the app for anything unlawful, harmful or fraudulent;
• interfere with or disrupt the app, our servers, or Firebase infrastructure;
• reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code, except where local law expressly permits it;
• use bots, cheats, exploits or automation;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy.

09 Intellectual property

The app, its code, artwork, characters, sound, name and branding belong to us or our licensors. You get a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own entertainment. Nothing here transfers ownership of anything.

10 Availability and changes

We may update, change or discontinue any part of the app — including features, rules, the economy and cloud sync — at any time. We may also stop offering the app entirely. Cloud sync depends on third-party services and your connection, and is not guaranteed to be available or uninterrupted.

11 Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, that any feature will remain available, or that progress and balances will never be lost.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost chips, lost progress or lost goodwill. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for in-app purchases in the six months before the claim, or (b) USD $5.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your non-waivable statutory consumer rights.

13 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us and our officers, employees and agents harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the app, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of a third party's rights.

14 Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the app. You may stop at any time by deleting your account and removing the app. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnification and governing law — do.

15 Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms. The “last updated” date at the top will change, and material revisions will be signposted in the app or on the store listing. Continuing to use the app after a revision takes effect means you accept it.

16 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Cantina Labs is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be heard in the courts of that jurisdiction — except where the mandatory law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, which these Terms do not remove.

17 Severability

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it is severed and the rest remains in force.
